Well, it’s been a bit of an up and down week.
We’ve seen Covid cases dropping around Australia, but state premiers declaring borders will remain shut for some time yet. Some strong corporate profit results have been offset by other weaker ones, and China continues to make life difficult for our export industries – this time it’s wine exports that are in the crosshairs.
With all of this going on it can be easy to feel overwhelmed, and to feel like you’re not in control. One strategy that is vitally important is to separate out those things we can control (or influence) from those we can’t – and to focus on the ones we can control.
I had an interesting conversation this week with Michael Graf, who’s a board member of Good2Give, an organisation that brings companies and charities together by facilitating and managing staff giving programs. Given there has been a significant increase in the number of people needing support from charities, Michael highlighted one strategy for those who’re still able to donate that may result in a doubling of your contributions.
This is a practical way of working on the things we can control, and making a significant difference. To find out more click the video on top.
